Mission and History

L'Institut Supérieur Spécialisé de la Mode, better known as MOD'SPE PARIS, is a fashion business school which offers bachelor and master programs culminating with state-accredited degrees.

AN INSTITUTE

Created in 1993 as an initiative of professionals from the French Federation of Women's Ready-to-wear (la Fédération Française du Prêt-à-porter Féminin) and supported by the French public authorities via the Committee for the Development and Promotion of Apparel and Textiles (Défi), MOD'SPE Paris prepares its students to become highly qualified fashion marketers enabling them to integrate the following sectors:  men's wear, women's wear, children's wear, athletic wear, intimate apparel, cosmetics, fragrances, luxury goods or accessories .

MOD'SPE Paris is an associative structure and as such, seeks to transmit to the future executives within its classrooms the key values of professionalism, innovation, initiative and rigor. Moreover, MOD'SPE Paris remains a firm ally of the companies with which it works, anticipating their needs and reinforcing a relational network based on respect and high standards.  The confidence of its partner companies and the MODSPE Paris alumni working for them has provided the MOD'SPE Paris Career Services with a roster of over 800 companies. 

AN EDUCATION

MOD'SPE Paris trains students to be specialists in the fields of marketing, sales management and purchasing. The bachelor program of sales management and fashion marketing, whose official title is registered at the Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles (RNCP = the National Repertory of Professional Certifications) as a level II degree (also known as Master 1 and the equivalent of a Bachelor Degree), can be prolonged by a master course in International Marketing of Fashion Products (also known as Master 2 and the equivalent of a Master Degree).

With lectures, work shops, internships and apprenticeships, MOD'SPE Paris prepares its students to be apparel specialists who are in touch with the everyday reality of the workplace.

AN EXPERTISE

As an accomplice to apparel  businesses or institutions, MOD'SPE Paris' pedagogical engineering unit and research department provide experts to conduct audits, inquiries and studies in order to conceive and implement customized training programs .

A REFERENCE

With a global job placement rate of over 90%, MOD'SPE Paris has become an undisputable reference in terms of the pertinence of its higher educational fashion programs. 60 % of our bachelor students are hired by their host companies after the termination of their final senior year internships.   95 % - 98 % of the senior student body is employed within 3 months of graduation. 98 % of our master students were offered a job following the conclusion of their apprenticeship.

AN INTERNATIONAL NETWORK

Since its creation, MOD'SPE Paris has been geared toward international development through professor and student exchanges with foreign schools, internships in other countries and pedagogical consultancy abroad, all of which enrich the Institute's international partner network. 

PARIS, THE CAPITOL OF FASHION

Paris is the world's creative nerve center thanks to its history, schools, designers, and myriad of fashion trade shows: Prêt-à-porter Paris, Bijorca, Who's Next, Atmosphère, etc...

In September 2006, MOD'SPE Paris moved to a large (900 m²) town house at 9 rue Bleue, in the 9th district in Paris, an area which is part of Paris' historical garment district and where many fashion businesses still thrive. These historical and functional premises have furnished the means necessary for the school's domestic and international development. Within proximity to Le Printemps and Les Galeries Lafayette department stores, the school's new address offers easy access to key fashion locations.
